A quick guide to anime airing schedules

Anime release times: airing time vs. streaming time

An anime's scheduled broadcast, its simulcast, and the moment a streaming app makes a new episode playable are related, but they are not always the same time.

What does an airing time mean?

An airing time is the scheduled time associated with an episode's broadcast. A simulcast is a release intended to happen close to the original broadcast in another market. The exact delay and availability depend on the title, distributor, platform, language, and region.

Why a streaming episode can appear later

Streaming services may need time to process an episode, publish subtitles or dubs, or follow a regional release plan. A series can also be delayed or take a break. Because of that, a calendar based on broadcast schedules should be treated as a planning reference, not a guarantee that an episode will be playable at that exact minute.

How local time conversion works

Simulcast Calendar displays schedule times using the time-zone setting in your browser. That setting accounts for the viewer's daylight-saving rules, so the same broadcast can appear on a different local date or clock time in different places. No precise location is required.

How to check the final release

  1. Find the show in the weekly anime schedule.
  2. Open its details and review the streaming links listed by AniList.
  3. Check the official streaming service or anime website for regional availability, language, and any delay announcement.

Keep track of the week

Search for a title, follow shows you watch, and export the visible week to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or another app using an .ics file.
